IT'S ON! The City of Nelson has leased the Kootenay Climbing Association a parcel of land to build the Cube 2.0, the next generation of indoor climbing in the Kootenay region of British Columbia.

THE VISION

500% more climbing surface area than the existing Cube
First facility in the BC interior that will be capable of hosting Olympic-calibre climbing competitions
15-meter tall climbing walls for lead-climbing, speed-climbing, and top-roping
Dedicated bouldering area
Kids Zone play area
Locker rooms with showers
Sustainably built using mass-timber, which is a leading-edge, low-carbon construction alternative utilizing locally engineered wood products
A community hub in a burgeoning new neighborhood adjacent to Selkirk College’s 10th Street Campus
